2.1.2 Issuance of a new personal ID

As noted in 2.1.1, the mismatch of a user's personal ID and role ID inconveniences users when accessing systems requiring their role ID.
In order to avoid such inconvenience, when there is an addition to the user's job title or position, a new personal ID will be issued.

When the new personal ID is issued, faculty and staff will receive it from the general affairs division and students from educational affairs division of their schools.

For example, in the case of a person working as a temporary staff enrolling in graduate school, a new personal ID (u000002b) will be issued to him/her; however, his/her personal ID (u000001a) as temporary staff will still be available. Thus, the user will be required to use two personal IDs accordingly.

When multiple personal IDs are issued to the same person, multiple personal IDs may be unified and the user will then be able to login the systems using one ID.
For more information, see 2.1.3. Unifying multiple personal IDs issued to the same person.
