2.1.1 When your personal ID and role ID do not match

In the case of a user who had more than one job title and/or position, once he/she loses the status of faculty/staff or student due to resignation or graduation, his/her personal ID and role ID may no longer match.

For example, if a person who is a graduate school student and part-time faculty or staff member graduates thereby “losing” his/her status of graduate student, his/her personal ID and role ID may become as noted below:

Job title or position Osaka University
Personal ID
Role ID
 Graduate student u000001b u000001b
Part-time faculty and staff u000002c (valid)

In the above case, the person will need to login the systems with role ID by using his/her available role ID, u000002c. ※The password for the role ID is the same as that of personal ID.

Usually, one's personal ID and role ID are the same so he/she can login the systems without noticing, but in the above case, his/her personal ID and role ID are not the same. So, in that case, the user needs to confirm his/her available role ID to login the systems.
